I was so glad that we had two days off for Pongal. After coming back from a long Christmas vacation, work hardly seems exciting compared to all the fun I had back home. (There was a shortage of fuel in the city recently, actually in all major cities, and traffic had become so sparse because all the bunks were running low on fuel, and I was fervently hoping that the strike would go on for a week, which would mean no means of transportation to reach office.
