For some reason I can't explain, I know St. Peter won't call my name...

Woke up and contemplated spending the day with Edward Cullen (a breathtakingly beautiful vampire that I have fallen very hard for...) or going to work and trying to make sense of whatever's happening there. Finally gave in to Edward, plus I really needed a day off from work... My birthday this year turned out to be exactly the way I wanted it to, I had the entire day to myself, I like such days... when I can curl up somewhere with my book and get lost in it, without having to read a few pages and then answer someone's question or get some work done. I hate it when people disturb me as I discover how vulnerable Edward feels living among us humans or how his eyes change color when he is trying to control his anger. Had to watch a few episodes of Frasier in between, to get my breathing under control... haven't fallen this hard for a character since those times with Arutha.... and this time it has gone way too deep, damn that bloody vampire . Went out for dinner with the cou...

Poetry Attempt...

Was a bit bored one day at work, and the weather outside was so nice, makes you wish you were out there in the open, under the sun, near the waves... my office is located quite close to the sea, and the sea with all its colors is deeply fascinating. Anyway, the sea that day was calm and beautiful when all of a sudden, it's colors started changing, it took on this grayish hue and the sky started darkening... and then it was pure chaos. The winds started chasing the waves, the sky above was bellowing at them both, and the clouds started pouring out it's fury (it rained...) Anyway, I was watching all this and that's why the attempt at poetry.... View at Work The dazzling blue sky entrances The glimmering surface below it Lulls it to a peaceful cozy dream That sparkles & kisses the shore. The rumbling ends this romance As the waves begin to dance & flit Provoking the winds to scream Thereby creating earth's musical score. Eventually the ripples appear t...

Choir party...

The choir gang back home had a party on August 15th and looks like they had a lot of fun. I miss being part of that choir, it was fun practising every Saturday and trying to make an impression on Sunday's. Here are a few pictures of the fun gang... the gang I miss.... They are playing musical chairs.... here Grandma cutting the cake.... Kudos to them, for Staying Alive and I hope they flourish and don't let go of their youthful zest.

Movies I've seen over the past few months..

Cinema Paradiso: Now this is an interesting Italian movie. It’s set in a small quaint little town in Italy and it tells the story of a little boy and his passion for the movies… and how he grows up to become a famous director. Salvatore the mischievous little boy befriends Alfredo (the town’s projectionist) and before long the two of them become inseparable. Alfredo becomes sort of like a father figure to Salvatore and gives him advice (dialogues from movies) from time to time. Anyway, so Salvatore grows up into this deadly handsome guy and falls in love with a girl… and circumstances cause Alfredo to lie to Salvatore about this girl. Salvatore believing the girl no longer cares for him is convinced by Alfredo to leave the town and make something of himself. As decades pass, we hear of Alfredo’s death, which causes Salvatore to return home and what follows next is heartbreaking. Salvatore learns that Alfredo lied to him, but you can’t really blame the dead old guy because he loved Sal...

Strangers in the night....

Yesterday was nice, Tonio had the evening shift, so I had the chance to catch up with me... I always enjoy my company. I listened to some of my old cd's and was amazed at my own wonderful taste in music... sang and danced and it's a pity Nameeta wasn't there, she would have taught me some new moves. Anyway, then sat around with old bits and pieces of newspaper clippings to stick in my scrapbook, watched a few Disney music videos which took me back to another era... those wistful days of the glass slipper, the beautiful gowns, the awesome music, the handsome prince's, the spirited princesses, the kiss at the end... Sigh... you never seem to grow out of some things... Then read a rather cute M&B, called "Mistletoe Kiss" by Betty Neels. And ended the day with custard & brownie... so it was a close enough to perfect Sunday. Back at work now listening to "What a wonderful world" by Louis Armstrong....

Product and Creative Team...

There is this monthly e-newsletter that goes out to everyone in my office. This month my team was in the Star Cast section (a section that gives you bits and pieces of information regarding the people who make up the team). They even morph us into something else... here we are like a bunch of school kids with a teacher. Name : Tarun.D.Vijay Nick Name : Velocity, Trun Designation : Asst. General Manager Product Hobbies : Listening to music, Pub-hopping, bird-watching, well its an endless list... About Me : I am an optimist to the core and believe that "You can achieve anything in life". I always stay confident and happy go lucky. I always try everything from movie making to cooking (seriously that's a bore). My hobbies include traveling (and wish to travel all over the world). I love nature, beaches (that's where I hang out most of the time) and outdoor activities. I am a frequent moviegoer and also a keen music enthusiast.. I believe life's rich ex...

Awesomest of times…

So I was home for the weekend and it was bliss , that is a great place to unwind. The light clean comforting air with all the smells of summer floating in it was heavenly. I mis s that clean home air, here it’s just foul and contaminated and going back there and getting a w hole lungful of that air was intoxicating. I liked the way the rays of the sun danced on the plants and created images be low…. even that was beautiful. No, I am not high… it just felt good to be back. I have fallen for Mowgli (alias Zimbo). When I saw pictures of him, I thought he was the most ugliest looking puppy. I met him on Friday and he is so funny… he has this silky hair, you can’t get over ho w soft and smooth it is. Then he has these antennae like ears, they are always perked up like rabbit ears… he jumps on you when you ask him “ what maaaaaa…” In short, he is cutishly ugly. Manju (the goat at home) is also fine, and she is pregnant. Sunoj (a cousin) was playing with her so I said “Careful Sunoj, she ...

Jackasses....

What a pair of Jackasses..... They are father and daughter by the way... they act in this Disney show called Hannah Montana.

Skipping work...

Here's a game I saw on Anju's blog , it's pretty interesting. Set your music player (ipod or itouch or whatever) to the random mode and then answer the questions below. Skip a track to get to the next answer. I use my phone to store songs, cause I just can't carry around too many things when I go out.... "If someone says 'Is this okay?', you say?" Heal the world   by  Michael Jackson "What would best describe your personality?" Listen to the Radio   by Don Williams "What do you like in a guy/girl?"  What Kinda Gone   by Chris Cagle "How do you feel today? "     My World   by Avril Lavigne "What is your life's purpose?"    Accidently in Love   by Counting Crows "What is your motto?"   What a Wonderful World   by Louis Armstrong "What do your friends think of you?"  If I never stop loving you   by David Kersh "What do you think of your ...

Bageera...

I got new speakers in my room, and I am so glad for that. After books, music comes in second on my priority list. I am right now going crazy over Lifehouse’s 'Everything' (I just read that it is actually a devotional song). And I am also reading a rather cute Mills and Boon book called ‘Ring in a Teacup’ by Betty Neels . It’s one of those doctor nurse romance novels and so far it is going good, hasn’t put me off … yet. Though I don’t like the idea of the guy Dr. Linssen being 40 something and the girl Lucy being only 23. Right now they dislike each other, though the doctor actually likes her and keeps ignoring her. And Lucy tries her best to stay out of his way, but they always bump into each other. I wish I could eat sandwiches now; I miss eating the kind of sandwiches I used to make at my home. I carried lemon rice with brinjal today and that’s hardly appetizing. Anyway, I better stock up on ham & bacon over the weekend. What else, is happening… I want to see Sex in the...

These are a few of my Favourite Smell's.....

Chandrika Soap : Oh man! I love this soap... it smells like Eden, I mean if the Garden of Eden had a smell, this is how it would smell. It has this fresh earthy kinda smell, probably like how our world would have smelt before we started ransacking it. Revive Liquid Starch : This is another smell I am crazy about. My clothes smell awesome after using this thing, it's like warm sunshine. Whenever I wear these starched clothes I practically fall in love with myself. It's like basking in the glow of a beautiful sunshine day. Nivea Powder: Oh, this has a wonderful fragrance, I use it all the time for no reason. I carry it in my bag and keep rubbing some on whenever I feel like it. It has an uplifting kinda smell, kinda like angels when they move between clouds. I have images for each smell in my head. Now you know why I get sucked into books... if a mere smell can give me such images, then imagine pages and pages of prose, it literally takes me away, makes me live the charact...

Someday I'll be part of your world......

How cool is this! My favourite Disney movie, and even I fell in love with Prince Eric and I too wanted to be part of his world like Ariel did..... You Are Ariel! Headstrong and fiesty. You have a mind of your own that's full of romantic dreams about the world around you. Exploring exotic places is your ultimate dream, and although you can be a little naive you'll realize that there is something to be gained from your family's wisdom. Which Disney Princess Are You? Hmm... there is some truth in the last two lines....

Black gum....

Well, so far nobody has turned up... I am at work and the guys who sit in my bay haven't turned up yet. So I guess it is going to be a quiet day... no easy banter to while away the breaks. What else is happening, Jeffrey Archer was in town... I should have gone to see him. It would have been worth it, to meet an author. I mean when else will I get a chance to meet another renowned literary figure. Coming to that, authors I would like to meet are; Enid Blyton, Arthur Conan Doyle, John Grisham, Frank McCourt, Charlotte Bronte, A. J. Cronin, and a few others... I've been traveling by train the past few days and I see these small kids with their vagabond parents shuffling from one train to another. This one small girl, no more than 8 years of age, pretty with an unkempt air about her was chewing a small wad of gum. She removes it with her extremely dirty hands, looks at it, then places it on the floor of the train and rolls it. She keeps rolling and rolling that piece of gum on t...

Thank God for Quotes.....

My eyes are crying out for mercy... if I could I would pull them off or detach them and drop them in cold water. That would make them happy.... how did man get reduced to this plight, of staring into a screen and making his universe work for him. I stare into the screen and all I get is a headache. And now I am doomed, nothing I do seems to satisfy him (my boss at work).. either its over the top or its too little... and now I have to rework the entire structure again. Well a friend once sent me this quote, "Blessed is the person who is too busy to worry in the daytime and too sleepy to worry at night." I am ready to swear by this quote it has saved my life many a times...

Stealing Cinderella

I'm in love with this song...... and the singer, Chuck Wicks Stealing Cinderella I came to see her daddy for sit down man to man It wasn't any secret I'd be asking for her hand I guess that's why he left me waiting in the living room by myself With at least a dozen pictures of her sitting on a shelf CHORUS : She was playing Cinderella, She was riding her first bike Bouncing on the bed and looking for a pillow fight Running through the sprinklers with a big popsicle grin Dancing with her dad, looking up at him In her eyes i'm Prince Charming But to him i'm just some fella riding in and stealing Cinderella I leaned in towards those pictures to get a better look at one When I heard a voice behind me say "Now, ain't she something, son?" I said "Yes, she's quite a woman" and he just stared at me Then I realized that in his eyes she would always be Playing Cinderella, Riding her first bike Bouncing on the bed and looki...

St. Thomas Mount

St. Thomas Mount is believed to be the place where St. Thomas, one of the 12 disciples of Jesus was martyred. We visited this place a few days back, here are a few pictures... This Banyan tree was so cool... kinda spooky but awe inspiring. This is the shrine built at the exact spot where the saint was hunted down and killed. This is the cross that St. Thomas carved out of a slab of stone while he lived on the mount. It must have taken him ages to carve that... it's solid rock. A relic of the saint, a small piece of the saint's bone is preserved here... This is the picture that St. Luke painted and St. Thomas carried it with him to India ages ago. And here is the plaque, explaining it all....

Campaigning in progress........

For those of you curious enough to watch that video on the N2Oposter, I've put it up here.
