Contemplations and Ruminations

Aug 21st 2022, Sunday Went to church for the 11:30 am mass, it was okay. Then went to café Utopia A cute place with a green bench outside... where we sat and had coffee. Café is quite small, we didn't have place to sit inside.  Charming cafe... My brother had the espresso. I ordered the carrot cake and a chocolate cake, then we went to Plainpalais to have lunch. I had this famous Pilipino drink, halo halo, made with crushed milk, ice, jelly cubes, fruit pulp, yam puree, coconut slices and many other things. It was good, kinda like a milkshake with a lot of things in it, similar to our jigarthanda.   I took this veg glass noodles from the same stall, and it was pretty good... Mom and Vinod ate pork belly... Vinod had this squid salad too. Dad ate spring rools, and Nam ordered falafels and an aubergine and cheese roll. Aug 20th 2022, Saturday Went to St. Paul church in Cologny It's a pretty church with pretty stained windows And art on the ceiling. Mass was in this small alcove in church. Pretty colour combination...  I like all the blues and greens... Oh, look at the ceiling... Pretty arches, pretty church... The altar reminds me of home... the sea and boat motif is quite common in my hometown at the tip of the Indian Peninsular. Extremely fit Jesus...
