Feels good to be me....

Thanks to my boss, I haven't been writing here regularly... usually I blog when I have time to spare at work. What with work being so hectic and then coming back home being euphoric, I haven't had time to spare on the blog. Wanted to write about a lot of things from Obama to Kasav to the Chris Parent/Chris Child game that we played at work. Will stick to the wedding for now though... Weddings are great if it's not yours and if you happen to be a girl, you get to shop and dress up and then walk around organising and having fun. You don't have to worry about whether this marriage will last or dread leaving your home and staying with a bunch of strangers... Anyway, I had a lot of fun at this wedding... here are a few pictures ... Vinod gave us all an awesome surprise by turning up just in time for the wedding... It felt great to be back with the entire family... This guy was so funny at the wedding... was so happy to see him havig fun and being himself. This is how my

Kinda busy to write stuff, so just a few pictures for now....

Check out the view from my office... see the clouds gathered in the center, looks magical, like a shot out of a fantasy movie. The sparkling sun creating a shimmering path ... Sunset in the horizon... Nameeta just sent this amazing picture she took when she went on one of her field trips. It's beyond awesome right, like God is peeping down on us... and probably wondering too... 'what do I see in these humans... ' My team at work, surprised us with a birthday cake... which tasted rather good, it had some pink kinda fruit in it, t'was nice. Here's Jeeva blowing out the candle That's me ... And here's Mercy.. They smeared cream on our faces later... should have taken a picture of that... This is one of those books that will stick with you long after you are done reading it. Look at that cover, temptation in the simplest of forms. And this book was wonderful that way, it is a simple love story with a weird twist that just makes you fall for the two main

For some reason I can't explain, I know St. Peter won't call my name...

Woke up and contemplated spending the day with Edward Cullen (a breathtakingly beautiful vampire that I have fallen very hard for...) or going to work and trying to make sense of whatever's happening there. Finally gave in to Edward, plus I really needed a day off from work... My birthday this year turned out to be exactly the way I wanted it to, I had the entire day to myself, I like such days... when I can curl up somewhere with my book and get lost in it, without having to read a few pages and then answer someone's question or get some work done. I hate it when people disturb me as I discover how vulnerable Edward feels living among us humans or how his eyes change color when he is trying to control his anger. Had to watch a few episodes of Frasier in between, to get my breathing under control... haven't fallen this hard for a character since those times with Arutha.... and this time it has gone way too deep, damn that bloody vampire . Went out for dinner with the cou

Poetry Attempt...

Was a bit bored one day at work, and the weather outside was so nice, makes you wish you were out there in the open, under the sun, near the waves... my office is located quite close to the sea, and the sea with all its colors is deeply fascinating. Anyway, the sea that day was calm and beautiful when all of a sudden, it's colors started changing, it took on this grayish hue and the sky started darkening... and then it was pure chaos. The winds started chasing the waves, the sky above was bellowing at them both, and the clouds started pouring out it's fury (it rained...) Anyway, I was watching all this and that's why the attempt at poetry.... View at Work The dazzling blue sky entrances The glimmering surface below it Lulls it to a peaceful cozy dream That sparkles & kisses the shore. The rumbling ends this romance As the waves begin to dance & flit Provoking the winds to scream Thereby creating earth's musical score. Eventually the ripples appear t

Choir party...

The choir gang back home had a party on August 15th and looks like they had a lot of fun. I miss being part of that choir, it was fun practising every Saturday and trying to make an impression on Sunday's. Here are a few pictures of the fun gang... the gang I miss.... They are playing musical chairs.... here Grandma cutting the cake.... Kudos to them, for Staying Alive and I hope they flourish and don't let go of their youthful zest.

Movies I've seen over the past few months..

Cinema Paradiso: Now this is an interesting Italian movie. It’s set in a small quaint little town in Italy and it tells the story of a little boy and his passion for the movies… and how he grows up to become a famous director. Salvatore the mischievous little boy befriends Alfredo (the town’s projectionist) and before long the two of them become inseparable. Alfredo becomes sort of like a father figure to Salvatore and gives him advice (dialogues from movies) from time to time. Anyway, so Salvatore grows up into this deadly handsome guy and falls in love with a girl… and circumstances cause Alfredo to lie to Salvatore about this girl. Salvatore believing the girl no longer cares for him is convinced by Alfredo to leave the town and make something of himself. As decades pass, we hear of Alfredo’s death, which causes Salvatore to return home and what follows next is heartbreaking. Salvatore learns that Alfredo lied to him, but you can’t really blame the dead old guy because he loved Sal

Strangers in the night....

Yesterday was nice, Tonio had the evening shift, so I had the chance to catch up with me... I always enjoy my company. I listened to some of my old cd's and was amazed at my own wonderful taste in music... sang and danced and it's a pity Nameeta wasn't there, she would have taught me some new moves. Anyway, then sat around with old bits and pieces of newspaper clippings to stick in my scrapbook, watched a few Disney music videos which took me back to another era... those wistful days of the glass slipper, the beautiful gowns, the awesome music, the handsome prince's, the spirited princesses, the kiss at the end... Sigh... you never seem to grow out of some things... Then read a rather cute M&B, called "Mistletoe Kiss" by Betty Neels. And ended the day with custard & brownie... so it was a close enough to perfect Sunday. Back at work now listening to "What a wonderful world" by Louis Armstrong....

Awesomest of times…

So I was home for the weekend and it was bliss , that is a great place to unwind. The light clean comforting air with all the smells of summer floating in it was heavenly. I mis s that clean home air, here it’s just foul and contaminated and going back there and getting a w hole lungful of that air was intoxicating. I liked the way the rays of the sun danced on the plants and created images be low…. even that was beautiful. No, I am not high… it just felt good to be back. I have fallen for Mowgli (alias Zimbo). When I saw pictures of him, I thought he was the most ugliest looking puppy. I met him on Friday and he is so funny… he has this silky hair, you can’t get over ho w soft and smooth it is. Then he has these antennae like ears, they are always perked up like rabbit ears… he jumps on you when you ask him “ what maaaaaa…” In short, he is cutishly ugly. Manju (the goat at home) is also fine, and she is pregnant. Sunoj (a cousin) was playing with her so I said “Careful Sunoj, she
