In His Time ....

Went to school on Saturday. Had a staff meeting, to discuss the progress of students & the causes and prevention of mental retardation. It was an interesting discussion, we were talking about pregnancy, cervical dilation, birth canal ... needless to say it scared us: me, Jency and Vidhya. The guys ... I don't know what was goin through their heads. It was fun to watch them though .... they were tryin to look disinterested.
Anyway, later on we had choir practice and we sang 'In His Time'. After the practice we girls went out for dinner to Lynns. Nine of us, Chandini, Ashwini, Vidhya, Cheryl, Shiny, Anita, Stephina, Nameeta and me. It was nice, just sitting around and talkin ... had burgers and strawberry milk shakes.
Sunday mass was good, in fact it was funny. Fr. Antony, is young and his sermons are unconventional. He talks as though we are his friends, very casual and interesting. He was smiling and so were we. Then we sang our song. Folks said it was beautiful. In the afternoon paid a condolence visit to Shobha, met Punitha there. We got to talking about people we knew once upon a time... life and how we never know what may happen next.

In His Time, In His Time
He makes all things beautiful in His time
Lord my life to You I bring
with it's winter and it's spring
May I fathom everything in Your time
.

Nice Ad....

Wouldn't you say so... Nam and me were in this huge clothing store and we were making fun of all the models on display (there was one of hrithik in which he looked kinda gayish) when we came across this one. Seriously, dark people are more better looking....

I hope the world doesn't end in 2012, I have a whole lot of books to read...

I heard bout Flipkart.com from Anju and that site has changed my life. All the books that I have been searching for since centuries, are now sitting prettily on my book shelf. Landmark is a thing of the past now... in fact Landmark is not what it used to be anymore, they do not seem to have stock on most of the good books. So I am deliriously thankful to the creators of flipkart, I seriously love you guys... continue with your fabulous work. Talking of books, here are a few people who have enriched my life with their recommendations of the written word... My brother Manoj for buying the ' The Partner ' by John Grisham . Now I hadn't heard of Grisham before so the book was just lying there at home. One day I got bored and picked it up, that was the start of my love affair with Grisham and legal thrillers in general. This was the first John Grisham book I read and it was in a word mindblowing. I couldn't set the book down, my heart was racing away with Patrick Laniga...

Interesting churches from around the world...

Came across these spectacular churches while trying to search for simple and rustic ideas for my (very soon to be constructed) church back home. Thorn Crown Chapel This is the Thorn Crown Chapel located in Eureka Springs, Arkansas... looks pretty neat huh. Church of Hallgrímur The Hallgrímskirkja (a Lutheran church) is located in Iceland, and it is designed to resemble basalt lava flows that are characteristic of Iceland. The church is also used as an observation tower. Chapelle of Saint Michel The Chapelle of Saint Michel perched atop a needle of a rock is located in Auvergne, France. 268 stone steps wind their way up to this quaint little ancient church. Doesn't it look absolutely dreamy... Borgund Stave Church This is the Borgund Stave Church located in Lærdal, Norway... t'was built somewhere in the late 12th century, definitely awesome. Las Lajas Cathedral The Las Lajas Cathedral (Sanctuary of our Lady) located in Columbia, South America is certainly awe inspiri...
