Walking into the sunlight...

So I am standing there in line at the doctor's office, cursing everyone and glancing at my watch for the upteenth time, I hate waiting... I have no patience whatsoever. Anyway I am standing there and muttering to myself, when the guy in front of me turns back and smiles. He's a young boy, 20 something with a friendly grin and a pleasing nature, he starts talking and tells me that he has to undergo an operation and hopes that everything turns out alright. After a few minutes his turn arrives and he enters the doctor's office, leaving me out in the hallway. I stand there no longer impatient but wondering bout the affable young man and how he changed my mood with his outgoing nature. He comes out smiling and takes his leave with a wave of his hand, that's the last I see of him as I enter the doctor's room. After being examined the doc conludes that its a minor infection, writes down a few tablets and tells me to visit again in two days. Two days later I am back and fully cured and as I turn to leave I remember the young guy and turn to ask the doc about him. The doc shakes his head and says, "He didn't make it, he died yesterday during surgery." I flash back to that day when he walked away with a friendly smile and a wave of his hand... he seems to be walking into the sunlight now, and that's when I woke up.
I had this dream a few days back and since then I haven't been able to forget it, I wonder what it means...

I would have been in tears if it hadn't turned out to be a dream. It sounds very real - in proper sequence, also has a deep ending. That's so unlike a normal dream. But anyways, mom says, if you dream of someone dying, it actually signals the prospect of good things(mostly a wedding) in real life. Someone in line to the altar? :)

Nice Ad....

Wouldn't you say so... Nam and me were in this huge clothing store and we were making fun of all the models on display (there was one of hrithik in which he looked kinda gayish) when we came across this one. Seriously, dark people are more better looking....

I hope the world doesn't end in 2012, I have a whole lot of books to read...

I heard bout Flipkart.com from Anju and that site has changed my life. All the books that I have been searching for since centuries, are now sitting prettily on my book shelf. Landmark is a thing of the past now... in fact Landmark is not what it used to be anymore, they do not seem to have stock on most of the good books. So I am deliriously thankful to the creators of flipkart, I seriously love you guys... continue with your fabulous work. Talking of books, here are a few people who have enriched my life with their recommendations of the written word... My brother Manoj for buying the ' The Partner ' by John Grisham . Now I hadn't heard of Grisham before so the book was just lying there at home. One day I got bored and picked it up, that was the start of my love affair with Grisham and legal thrillers in general. This was the first John Grisham book I read and it was in a word mindblowing. I couldn't set the book down, my heart was racing away with Patrick Laniga...

And nobody was named Fred....

There was a Hugo and a Rosie... but no Fred. Oh well, it's over... that is more than enough. So finally the Harry Potter series has come to an end. And I did read all the books... but somehwere between the third and the fourth book, all the success went to her (Rowling's) head and she started churning out lousy sequels. I mean the first book was really nice, stuck to important stuff... and did not ramble on unnecessarily. I liked the third book the best, cause of Sirius... I thought he was the most amazing character, he was portrayed as this handsome reckless and brave guy, rugged looking but great looking, kinda like Aragon in the movie, "Lord of the rings" or Oded Fehr in "The Mummy Series". So it was only natural that I stopped watching the Harry potter movies, after I saw who they had cast to play the role of Sirius Black, some demented looking guy. Just look at the pictures!!! Anyway, this last book was just too much... there was too much of everyt...
