The 'Why' people and Nam...hilarious encounters.

You know how people are always on your case in a small town... if you are not married they keep wanting to know why, and after you get married if you happen to be a few months late in sporting a protruding belly, they want to know why again. It's the small town way of life... and me and my sister (Nam) are pretty used to it. My sister takes it up a notch by having fun at these people's expense... read this conversation she had recently with an acquaintance.

Acq: Howz life? Any good news?

Nam: Good. Yeah, my cousin is getting married.

Acq: I asked with you

Nam: Oh I already got married. How's your wife?

Acq: We are waiting. Her due date is on April 1st.

Nam: oooooh nice!! congrats!

Acq: When will you say?

Nam: I just said congrats

Acq: Thank you... so, when should I say congrats?

Nam: Your wife, you can say anytime na...

She sent me this chat transcript and I found it hilarious... almost reminded me of Harvey Specter. He does this too, deliberately misunderstands to have a good laugh.

Next time someone from the small town asks such things .say " yes you cannot have a stiffy anymore . It is banned by the state government as some groups think it is against their religion "

:) so far so good. i sure am glad people do seem to be having conversations.. All I get to see these days is people avoiding real ones and quite content with virtual chats. You know what i mean where words seem to flow from fingers instead of the mouth...

Nice Ad....

Wouldn't you say so... Nam and me were in this huge clothing store and we were making fun of all the models on display (there was one of hrithik in which he looked kinda gayish) when we came across this one. Seriously, dark people are more better looking....

My school teachers...

So I got to thinking bout my school days recently and it saddened me that I was starting to forget a few teachers who had shaped my life, I have already forgotten nearly half the classmates... though its not my fault. Some people just don't want to join facebook, then how can you find them in this big world. Even if I do find them, there is not much to talk beyond the 'where are you & what are you doing' phrases. But the teachers are another matter, they deserve to be remembered for moulding us. I gotta hand it to the convent school I studied in, they really knew how to select their educators... all the teachers I had shared a genuine passion for teaching and above that they had strong moral values and faith which invariably shaped our lives. To them being a good person was what mattered the most and they made sure we grasped this knowledge, it also helped that I had staunch catholic parents who cemented this view. Anyway, I just wanted to jot down stuff bout my teacher...

And nobody was named Fred....

There was a Hugo and a Rosie... but no Fred. Oh well, it's over... that is more than enough. So finally the Harry Potter series has come to an end. And I did read all the books... but somehwere between the third and the fourth book, all the success went to her (Rowling's) head and she started churning out lousy sequels. I mean the first book was really nice, stuck to important stuff... and did not ramble on unnecessarily. I liked the third book the best, cause of Sirius... I thought he was the most amazing character, he was portrayed as this handsome reckless and brave guy, rugged looking but great looking, kinda like Aragon in the movie, "Lord of the rings" or Oded Fehr in "The Mummy Series". So it was only natural that I stopped watching the Harry potter movies, after I saw who they had cast to play the role of Sirius Black, some demented looking guy. Just look at the pictures!!! Anyway, this last book was just too much... there was too much of everyt...
