After He Happened To Us

What can I say about a man who brought new meaning to life,
Life isn’t about just existing, he would often say
But Being Alive to the wonders of everyday moments.
This is what stands out most in his sermons:
The eagerness and joy in living a simple life made extraordinary
By the power of love emanating from the Saviour within us.
And the Saviour’s Presence runs deep in this man,
So deep, that whenever he is near I am filled with peace.

It’s unexplainable, this effect he tends to have
He makes us aware of the same Divine Presence within us.
I acutely realize how fortunate I am to know him and call him a friend.
He has revolutionized our church, turned it into a second home
Where friends and family converge often to make it what it is today;
A place buzzing with activity, goodwill and positive vibes.
Truth be said it is his energy and zeal buzzing in all of us
Making us come alive to the magic of being.

Part of this magic of existence is change, evolution - law of nature;
It is inevitable, we will have to follow the path laid out for us.
We have grown richer, spiritually, by his time here with us
We have to carry his name forward, hold the beacon
For all the good and charitable works he is renowned for.
Of course, we are never saying goodbye,
‘See you again’ sounds more apt, cause your name will resound
In our hearts for ages to come, that is the impact you’ve had on us.
And though we part, we are never really far cause the same Spirit
Beats wildly in all of us, the Spirit of God in the soul of every creature
We only have to tune in to feel it, to feel the closeness.

I remember him thanking the sun, the moon, the stars, our oceans,
Trees, the air we breathe, our homes, our bodies and all of creation
And I thought with a smile Thank You, Lord
Thank You immensely for him who means so much to us.
Senza Fine, Father Joe Andrew, our love for you is endless.

P.S: Something I wrote for my parish priest who is getting transferred... emotions are quite high this weekend in church.

Nice Ad....

Wouldn't you say so... Nam and me were in this huge clothing store and we were making fun of all the models on display (there was one of hrithik in which he looked kinda gayish) when we came across this one. Seriously, dark people are more better looking....

My school teachers...

So I got to thinking bout my school days recently and it saddened me that I was starting to forget a few teachers who had shaped my life, I have already forgotten nearly half the classmates... though its not my fault. Some people just don't want to join facebook, then how can you find them in this big world. Even if I do find them, there is not much to talk beyond the 'where are you & what are you doing' phrases. But the teachers are another matter, they deserve to be remembered for moulding us. I gotta hand it to the convent school I studied in, they really knew how to select their educators... all the teachers I had shared a genuine passion for teaching and above that they had strong moral values and faith which invariably shaped our lives. To them being a good person was what mattered the most and they made sure we grasped this knowledge, it also helped that I had staunch catholic parents who cemented this view. Anyway, I just wanted to jot down stuff bout my teacher...

And nobody was named Fred....

There was a Hugo and a Rosie... but no Fred. Oh well, it's over... that is more than enough. So finally the Harry Potter series has come to an end. And I did read all the books... but somehwere between the third and the fourth book, all the success went to her (Rowling's) head and she started churning out lousy sequels. I mean the first book was really nice, stuck to important stuff... and did not ramble on unnecessarily. I liked the third book the best, cause of Sirius... I thought he was the most amazing character, he was portrayed as this handsome reckless and brave guy, rugged looking but great looking, kinda like Aragon in the movie, "Lord of the rings" or Oded Fehr in "The Mummy Series". So it was only natural that I stopped watching the Harry potter movies, after I saw who they had cast to play the role of Sirius Black, some demented looking guy. Just look at the pictures!!! Anyway, this last book was just too much... there was too much of everyt...
