Proof that God exists in the dance of birds

Aug 12th 2022, Friday
Dad made lamb curry, me and Nam went to the little free library and
I picked up five books here...
Also kept five books that my brother had in his cupboard...
The little free library... it was fun browsing here.
Then drove back home and came across the Jet d'Eau ...
Fun song...
The defining symbol of Geneva...
Reached home, ate and slept. Woke up, got ready, went to eglise Christ Roi for the 18:30 pm mass and the father was incredibly sweet. He spoke to us and welcomed us during the mass too, and explained what was happening in between in English and at the end he wished us all a good day in English.
Then we came home, picked up Nam and drove to Vernier...
Went to the eglise first, then just drove through the cute village.
Church 31 in Vernier...
The front view... eglise de vernier.
This is the protestant church...
How beautiful is this entrance...
Pretty purple flowers forming an arch around the church doors...
Found this wild reed there with beautiful starry fluff.
How pretty...
Then we walked the cobbled streets in Vernier in search of a café...
Found a nice café nearby, Café Etiole...  had coffee, some prawns,
and escargot (snails).
Some wine too...
Walking around you find these potable water taps...
Nice flowers...
Cow bells decor... we then drove back home.

Aug 13th 2022, Saturday
Woke up early at 5am to go to Bain de Paquis (a place near the lake), to watch the free concert that takes place during summer.
Sunrise near the lake... and all the people at the free summer concert.
Here are the performers. Me, Nam, Vinod and mom went and it was fun.
The dance of the birds was magical, how can you not know God, seeing that...
It was breathtaking.
They played some music from movies, and pirates of the Caribbean soundtrack, it was good.
The concert venue...
Then went to coop, picked up bread, croissant, ham and came home. Slept for a while, woke up ate a nice breakfast of ham and cheese on toast with lettuce.
Then got ready and went to Carouge church. Mom and dad attended mass, while Nam and I walked around taking pictures. Saw this giant dog there... s/he was such a gentle creature.
Saw this beautiful statue there... I love how they have women statues in many places. The human body is normal and people learn to not sexualize the human form when we acknowledge that it is normal.
After mom and dad came out we realised that our parking ticket was not readable, so we pushed the information button on the machine and a lady spoke to us, asked us for the ticket number and issued a new one and it was free. That was pretty cool... How they think of everything. Went home, picked up Vinod and drove to ikea.
I ate veg balls and mashed potatoes with ebly, then drove to Chexbres and Saint Saphorin.
View on the way...
Flowering lampposts...
Chexbres was hot this August.

Last time when we visited in  August 2017, Chexbres felt beautiful, like a dream.
Then we drove to Saint Saphorin...
Saint saphorin is a small place...
 Cute everywhere
But everything was closed.
Calm and quiet...
Sleepy village...
Cute corners
Quaint roads..
Cobbled steps...
Just a corner...
Arched pathways...
Mom, dad and Nam... sitting in the shade.
Cute window flowers...
Another arched pathway...
Visited the church in Saint Saphorin (church 32)
A man and his giant dog nearby...
Drove back home and stopped at restaurant Calia
Ate some cannelloni dessert, everything was overprized here and not great. Reached home, Vinod made some sheek kabab with minced lamb. I ate bread and lettuce with tomato since I'm not fond of lamb or beef. It was a good day just roaming around.

Nice Ad....

Wouldn't you say so... Nam and me were in this huge clothing store and we were making fun of all the models on display (there was one of hrithik in which he looked kinda gayish) when we came across this one. Seriously, dark people are more better looking....

A tribute to the crazy bunch....

Here are a few picutres that won't find a place in the wedding album... but they were equally (some of them, even more) memorable. Everybody loves sunoj.... I was so happy to see them all...... (first time they were coming to my new place) Sunoj again.... hanging out with this guy is like shopping, ice cream, chocolates... etc. You can't get enough of them. The crazy cousins gave us a very interesting gift... this gift will be with us for six months then it will start its cycle of educating the owners. Though I doubt my cousins need much education in that department. It was fun opening the book and Jardin being the smart guy wanted somethin read from page 69. It was so cute the way Sunoj quickly picked up "The Magic Faraway Tree Series" from the corner and gave me to hold up when Robert uncle walked into the room (turns out he was the one who bought the book). I still remember Robert uncle laughing his head off.... good times. This wa

Tawusi Melek: The Peacock Angel

The Last Girl (2017) by a Yezidi survivor, Nadia Murad, is filled with the bone-chilling sort of evil that the ISIS is synonymous with. Nadia poignantly captures the plight of her Yazidi village, Kocho, as the threat of ISIS looms large in the distance before becoming a reality. As with the Holocaust, no one really anticipates the amount or intensity of evil that could reside in the indoctrinated hearts of men. Otherwise, nobody would willingly stay back in their towns or villages waiting for the genocide of their race. One of Nadia’s brother’s, Hezni, did try to go Germany, by crossing the northern Iraqi border on foot into Turkey, from where they (the brother and a few others) made their way to Istanbul, then paid a smuggler to take them into Greece. But they were discovered and had to spend a horrible time in prison. So, the fact is people did try to leave, but like Nadia explains, it isn’t easy to leave the only place one has ever known. I still think that being forced to
