Woke up and contemplated spending the day with Edward Cullen (a breathtakingly beautiful vampire that I have fallen very hard for...) or going to work and trying to make sense of whatever's happening there. Finally gave in to Edward, plus I really needed a day off from work...
My birthday this year turned out to be exactly the way I wanted it to, I had the entire day to myself, I like such days... when I can curl up somewhere with my book and get lost in it, without having to read a few pages and then answer someone's question or get some work done. I hate it when people disturb me as I discover how vulnerable Edward feels living among us humans or how his eyes change color when he is trying to control his anger. Had to watch a few episodes of Frasier in between, to get my breathing under control... haven't fallen this hard for a character since those times with Arutha.... and this time it has gone way too deep, damn that bloody vampire .
Went out for dinner with the cousins to Barbeque Nation, and fell in love with that place. They were playing some beautiful music and I realized mid way through that it was a live band, the food was amazing too... it started pouring and that made the day more enchanting.
This song (later found out it was by Coldplay called Viva La Vida) was playing on the radio when we were stuck in traffic in the pouring rain...
Listening to this song and watching the rain distort images through the window, was a bit overwhelming. I could see & feel those significant moments that get etched into your memory, those moments that bring on the most confusing yet tranquil kinda memories.... flow across my mind like the rivulets across the window pane.
Reached home and they started playing a two hour special on Frank Sinatra... yeah, I know, even I was really surprised... they do play some pretty good music on the radio here. It was a perfect end to a perfect day, dancing away with Tonio (I had to force him to dance with me...) to Frank Sinatra's 'Too Marvelous for Words'.
