Best Days of Your Life...

You know there are some songs that you listen to once, and they don't seem to leave you... they keep playing in a corner of your head until you 'youtube' it again. This is one of those songs, and Kellie Pickler is nice, she's so funny... you can't help but like her.
These American Idol kids sure are doing good, and its the girls mostly who are famous, Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Jennifer Hudson, Kelli Pickler... wonder what happened to David Cook and the other David, then there was this silver haired old guy called Taylor... how come they didn't make it big? Anyway, listen to this song now...

Kellie Pickler - Best Days of Your Life
'Cause I'll be there, in the back of your mind
From the day we met 'til you were making me cry
And it's just too bad, you're already had the best days
The best days of your life

Ain't it a shame?A shame that every time you hear my name
Brought up in a casual conversation
You can't think straight
And ain't it sad?You can't forget about what we had
Take a look at her and do you like what you see?
Or do you wish it was me

CHORUS:'Cause I'll be there, in the back of your mind
From the day we met to the very last night
And it's just too bad, you've already had the best days
The best days of your life

And does she know?Know about the times you used to hold me
Wrapped me in your arms and how you told me
I'd be the only one?
I heard about
Yeah, someone told me once, when you were out
She went a little crazy ran her mouth about me
Ain't jealousy funny?

CHORUS:'Cause I'll be there, in the back of your mind
From the day we met to the very last night
And it's just too bad, you've already had the best days
The best days of your life...

Life with me was a fairytale love
I was head-over-heels 'til you threw away "us"
And it's just too bad you've already had the best days
The best days of your life

I heard you're gonna got married, Have a nice little family
Live out my dreams with someone new
But, I've been told that a cheater is always a cheater

So I've got my pride, and she's got you...

'Cause I'll be there, in the back of your mind
From the day we met 'til you were making me cry
And it's just too bad, you've already had the best days
The best days of your life of your life
Oh, oh, yeah You're gonna think of me
You're gonna think of me in your life
Oh, oh, yeah It's a shame, it's a shame...

Taylor Hicks was a big washout...I heard that American Idol withdrew his contract. I also heard a rumor that he won because there's a group that hates AI so much that they go about voting for the worst :p

Yes, long live Hannah Montana! :D

kellie Pickler and a few of the other famous ones didn't even win.. they were all the runners up when Taylor Hicks won and they all ended up more famous than him!
Shil, this sing was written by Kellie and Taylor Swift, and you don't have to read the lyrics, just listen to the song. And haven't heard any of yamin's song, will youtube it. I don't know about anoop, but there is cute puerto rican kid in this season of AI, forget his name... he looks indian.

Sandhya, yeah miley is okay, I've heard her a few times on the radio...

Taylor hicks was okay, he and his dance moves... atleast he made us laugh. I really hated that fantasia female.

Sarangi in Chennai - A Review

So when my sister was in town we visited Sarangi, the Kanjivaram sari store located at Sterling Avenue, Nungambakkam. Kept seeing their pretty ads in the paper, each day their ad would display a beautiful sari with a flourish.

See what I mean... about the ads, nicely done. So we decided to check them out... and we were pleasantly surprised. This isn't your ordinary shop, it's a tastefully decorated house that has sari's in various hues draped all over the place. And the collection they have is pretty good, of course it's mostly for grand occasions... and the prices go up as you move from room to room.   Sari's displayed in a room... hanging over the door and the curtain rod. One of the pretty rooms...  A pretty mirror... and my sister reflected in it. A row of mirrors... to check out yourself after trying out a sari. The place has loads of natural lighting... I love that about any place.  Indian art... poor clarity, cause of all the reflection. A few lavish weddin…

Santhi Nilayam, School for the Mentally Challenged...

After a long long time, I visited the special school I used to work in, and the kids have all grown up...tiny tots now taller than me and sprouting facial hair!!! I was flummoxed... gosh, time changes everyone and everything. Wonder what changes they saw in me... anyway, I was just happy to be backthere. Went early to catch sight of that yellow school bus turning the corner and to watch all the kids tumbling out. While I was working there, that yellow bus turning the corner always marked the start of an exciting day. Right from the moment the kids hit the ground, the fun starts... that place will always be shrouded in hues of warm sunshine in my memory, it is a great place to be.  On the way to school, came across a few students... The special school, Santhi Nilayam (means Abode of Peace)  Great place...  The school bus and the kids... The assembly itself is heartwarming, a kid recites the prayers and the others repeat after him, in their characteristic sounds and half utterances.  T…

And the moral of the story is 'An idle mind is the Devil's workshop...'

So it was a lazy Friday afternoon, and we (me, Sajeeve and Jude) were kinda bored so we decided to play this game and I had no idea it would turn out to be this sacrilegious. So if you are a religious fanatic please do not continue reading this... I am pretty sure the story we concocted is blasphemous in at least 3 religions, Jude (a cousin) seems to think so anyway. I was too busy laughing and trying to bring some modicum of sensibility (not to mention respectability) to the story but my cousin Sajeeve is blessed with a very fertile imagination and once he unleashed it there was no going back...
So here it is...

Karen : She was moping the floor and singing along loudly with the radio. (I was thinking along the lines of a cute M&B... she a hard working woman and he a wealthy arrogant guy who gets drawn to her calm, strong & sensible nature)
Sajeeve : But deep down she was contemplating if she could forsake her conservative principles. (This is when I knew the ‘cute falling in l…
