The inlaws are extending the house and they've been asking me for ideas... so what started out as a simple search for furniture and the like soon turned into an obsession. Of course I would have to be a Sheikh's daughter or Trump's wife or a girfriend of one of Cullen boys (they've been around for ages and hence accumulated a lot of wealth) or find Cristiano Ronaldo and win his heart or maybe get lucky and win the lottery... whatever it is, I bet you'll feel the same too when you scroll down slowly and check out these awesome luxuries...

A terribly neat and beautiful coffee table, would have looked better if it was photographed with something colorful, like books strewn on the surface or a vase or a few picture frames or just a plate of food... a lived in look would give the feeling of home, would love to own it though...
Isn't this awesomely cool, the guys would love this (but not that black and white movie)... imagine taking in the evening air and just hanging out with your buddies and beer. I wouldn't mind watching a few movies too like 'The Sound of Music' or 'The Fox and the Child'... you'll really be transported to Maria's world and the breathtaking mountainside wilderness of the French countryside in 'The Fox and the Child'.
Aww... isn't this just cute, so simple and elegant.

This looks like some torture device, its a rocking chair with an overhead lamp... hardly looks comfortable.
This is another rocking chair, look at the lady all curled up with her book... looks nice but what if it suddenly snaps...
I love this chapel like bedroom...
This is called the pink floyd chair, I have no idea why...
Check out this modern rocking chair, it does look real nice and comfortable...
Apparently this is a sleek leather sofa... I like it.
Another cute rocking chair, I would definitely buy one...

I like this, its called the loop chaise... would be nice to have at home.
A contemporary sink.... wouldn't be much use though.
Check this out... a jacuzzi, look at that seat, you sit there and enjoy the warm water which hits you from all directions, not something I would want.
Oh isn't this truly magnificent, the levitating bed... apparently its held in space by strong magnetic forces that repel each other. Is all that magnetic force good for the body though?
This is a nice sleek ordinary bed...
Check out this hammock, seems so nice and peaceful... that beautiful dog adds a nice touch.
A modern fireplace, I have no idea how it burns or where the fuel comes from... looks kinda nice though. Apparently designed by some Japanese guy, check out those seating mats...
An excessively beautiful sink...
Oh this is cute, a nice book cum coffee table... very contemporary and beautiful.
This is another levitating cloud bed, based on the same magnetic force of repulsion.
Here is a buckle down couch which can be transformed into a....
bed, not so cool as that sleek white tub near by...

Another rocking chair, this looks good....
Oh I love this bed... it just looks so different and cute.
Check out these human leg tables, not something I would want...
A chair for people who love indoor plants...
Aren't these cool, they look like chunks of moon... they are garden/beach/outdoors illuminating rocks.
This is a weirdly intricate book shelf... looks more like a hurdle than a shelf.
This is the kimono lounge... definitely not something I would want.
A pretty and simple shelf
Isn't this cute, corner frames...
Ha, look at this... magnetic pellet imbedded curtain. You can just scrunch it up or push it to a side effortlessly.
Now this is something I would gladly spend money on to gift my sister, so she can keep my room neat... going home will be more peaceful after this. But I seriously love this idea, you just remove your clothes and throw them at the wall, a boon for guys everywhere.
A rustic wall mounted shelf... very nice and pleasing.
Illuminated wallpaper... kids would love it.
A plywood Christmas Tree... I don't know if it gives out the Christmas feel, maybe with a few decorative lights and hangings it would look just great.
The Christmas tree all stacked up...
Hey look at this, a flat screen LCD TV... what is really cool about it is the grey shelf below. That shelf is actually the packing box in which the TV arrived, very innovative... you get a TV and a stand.
Oh I like this, you just push this O up against a wall and sit in the centre or you can split it into two semi circles and use each half circle as a separate seating/book shelf arrangement.
I like this... its just wood everywhere, even the lighbulbs and the books in the book case. Some guy was showing off his carving/chipping away skills.
Look at this shelf, apparently you can roll back the shelves to accomodate objects of varying heights, I like it...

This is the flu pillow, you have tissues coming out at one end...
Flu Flu go away... but who would use that pillow again?
This is for people on the move, students and the like... a mini kitchen, a mini living room and a mini bed all of which can be boxed away and moved very conveniently. I like the mini bed, it does look nice...
Bench made of recycled paper that is adhered to bars of steel...
Oh this doorbell is cute, if only there was an 'Esc' button inside the house... for when unwanted guests turn up.
This is definitely something I want, a coffee table... check out the magazine stand, very contemporary and appealing.
Great rustic stone vases... would make very good murder weapons too.
A giant digital clock cum book shelf... innovative, something leonard and sheldon would like.
This chair is just weird...
Oh this is something guys would love, you just lie there and play all your video games and watch all your action movies...
A Cabbage chair made from recycled fibre strengthened paper... I don't know how comfortable it is.
This is just a weird looping lounge... doesn't look comfortable at all.
This sink was designed based on a prehistoric shell like creature... looks nice in the picture but wouldn't want one.
An alienish low lying lounge... kinda alienish looking table too.
A grass couch... your guess is as good as mine about the comfort and the grassy feeling.
I like this wall mounted shelf... its actually a magnetic strip and those little box like shelves can be positioned any way you like.
This self illuminating lamp is adorable... would be a nice piece to have around the house.
I like this double rocking chair too... I can see me and Nam sitting in it and yelling at each other to rock slower or faster...
A printed bedsheet with your favourite passages and verses... pretty cool, will have to iron it regularly though.
An elastic shelf... Lance armstrong would like it.
Oh I love love love this color pencil fence... its so joyful and beautiful.
Another funny bulb creature clutching its head because of all those moths... intensly cute.
Oh paradise... check out these ladder like book shelves, you can just climb up and see your books... maybe even sit down there under that warm sunlight and never come down.
An intricately carved fireplace grill...
I always thought that the space between steps should be made use of... if you construct each step carefully then you can easily accomodate drawers in between them, really nice idea.
An Optimus Prime couch (you'll see why)...
Converted into a bed...
And can be converted into a tent too... not appealing ( I know...)
This is definitely brilliant, illuminated wall hangers... you just attach them to your wall, looks so neat.

A coffee table that can be used as a play table for kids too... each level forms a seat for the next level. The levels can be stacked together and placed against a wall & conveying them from place to place should be really easy... amazing idea.

This is a space saver too, the bulb couch cum table...

See it opens up into a four seater arrangement.... don't know how stable the base it though.
This is a nice sun rays bed... great for old folks who need a little light at night to watch where they go.

This is the musical dining table, anytime you place something on the table or move something across it or pat one of those small / large rectangles on the surface, the table emits musical sounds accordingly... Fumiaki Goto (the designer) designed it based on the Marimba, a musical instrument. Sounds so much better than musical chairs...
Apparently this is called a spaghetti bench... looks kinda creepy, would be nice in a museum.
A shelf that can easily be transformed into a...
bed... should be useful when guests drop over, I guess...

The next few furniture items (including this wardrobe) are called sketched... they look like they walked out of a children's book. The cupboard is eerily nice... something that could come out of an Enid Blyton book.
This sofa and small chair/table, reminds me of the Flintstone's era...
This coffee table is also cute in its own way... these sketched furniture pieces are painstakingly sculpted by hand.
Oh I would love to own one of these rocking beds... I bet they would be worth it.
A beautiful rocking bed... nice wine red sheets too.
This piece of furniture looks great... very quaint and pleasant, has an earthy feel to it. I would love to have one...
This couch is nice in its own way... rather throne-ish looking.
The Ying Yang book shelf, peacefully serene...
The flexible faucet... should prove useful at home.
The pi bed, so simple and cute... love it.
The Pi shaped bed....
This table can be boxed up into that briefcase, good for people on the move... students and the like.

A baby hammock, how wonderfully cute...
A mini kitchen...
which can be shaped as shown...
These oil lamps are so adorable, not to mention brilliant...
Apparently the magnetic base keeps them from toppling over...
A beautiful illuminating fairy wallpaper... so magical.
A sadistically funny lamp...
Chuck those magnetic levitating beds, these hammock type beds are way cooler... would definitely like one.

A crib that can be used as a...

bed when the baby grows a little older...
Money saving lamp, can be used as a piggy bank for kids... the lamp lights up when you insert a penny in the slot.
Graceful legs teacup... looks funny.
Aren't these just really really cool... great antique looking tubs, spectacular.
A wooden gnarled lounge, ruggedly cosy...
Black Lace Chandelier, forms a lovely pattern on the walls...
Love this intricately carved wall hanging... romantically cute.
A book stack lamp, provides a light soft glow... very aesthetically pleasing.
An 8 shaped couch, very nice for a large parties...

Another lounge that the guys will like, a place below to stack CD's and all.... looks rather cool.

Pretty impressive, huh...

I loved the fireplace + book shelf concept, the Japanese one and the color pencil fence too... The book shelves with steps and the storage place in the stairs are very innovative and very useful too...

You might get some good ideas for home improvement from this site http://www.hgtv.com/

Most of the time I watch only this channel. These home stagers come up with such brilliant ideas. I am amazed at the way these guys make use of the space at home, and the best part is they do most of the paintings and small carpentery jobs by themselves

Hey if I come back in September, we both wil go shopping for furnitures. Only both of us, k :-P Otherwise these guys will not let us find wat we want... Our house should be ready by August then we too will need some good furnitures

Mazhalai, I know... we are one creative race.

Raina, yeah they do build their own homes and paint it too, wonder why no one does that here... and I would love to go shopping for anything, we'll check out all the furniture stores here...

JB, is that a good thing or a bad thing, please be specific...

Antonio, in your dreams...

Saj, I am not surprised... if you liked Bruno then all this stuff must seem extremely boring and classy. What happened to the old bean bag, the red one we bought last time is still here... I have to fill it up with more beans, its become rather flat.

Okay, I finally got through all the photos. They look awesome... I actually like all the weird sinks! And the bookshelves. I saw one of those old fashioned type bookshelves at a friend's house and fell in love with it! Furniture shopping is a lot of fun if you have truckloads of money to spend on it!

Tina, yeah the sinks were pretty weird.

Meri, nice of you to drop by and its so cool that you like the Twilight series too.

Anju, why didn't you take a picture of that old fashioned book shelf...

Nice Ad....

Wouldn't you say so... Nam and me were in this huge clothing store and we were making fun of all the models on display (there was one of hrithik in which he looked kinda gayish) when we came across this one. Seriously, dark people are more better looking....

Tawusi Melek: The Peacock Angel

The Last Girl (2017) by a Yezidi survivor, Nadia Murad, is filled with the bone-chilling sort of evil that the ISIS is synonymous with. Nadia poignantly captures the plight of her Yazidi village, Kocho, as the threat of ISIS looms large in the distance before becoming a reality. As with the Holocaust, no one really anticipates the amount or intensity of evil that could reside in the indoctrinated hearts of men. Otherwise, nobody would willingly stay back in their towns or villages waiting for the genocide of their race. One of Nadia’s brother’s, Hezni, did try to go Germany, by crossing the northern Iraqi border on foot into Turkey, from where they (the brother and a few others) made their way to Istanbul, then paid a smuggler to take them into Greece. But they were discovered and had to spend a horrible time in prison. So, the fact is people did try to leave, but like Nadia explains, it isn’t easy to leave the only place one has ever known. I still think that being forced to

A tribute to the crazy bunch....

Here are a few picutres that won't find a place in the wedding album... but they were equally (some of them, even more) memorable. Everybody loves sunoj.... I was so happy to see them all...... (first time they were coming to my new place) Sunoj again.... hanging out with this guy is like shopping, ice cream, chocolates... etc. You can't get enough of them. The crazy cousins gave us a very interesting gift... this gift will be with us for six months then it will start its cycle of educating the owners. Though I doubt my cousins need much education in that department. It was fun opening the book and Jardin being the smart guy wanted somethin read from page 69. It was so cute the way Sunoj quickly picked up "The Magic Faraway Tree Series" from the corner and gave me to hold up when Robert uncle walked into the room (turns out he was the one who bought the book). I still remember Robert uncle laughing his head off.... good times. This wa
