Ham and Egg Sandwich...

This is a really simple sandwich, and of course it's gonna taste as good as it sounds... I mean it's ham and egg and what's not to love there. Makes a nice Sunday brunch with a glass of iced tea.
So getting started, saute some sliced onions... till they get that brownish caramelized tint.

Then heat the ham slices, till they give off a nice smell...
Here the onions are nicely browned and supple...
Chop up the ham and add it to this.
Now let's start layering the bread. I have used wheat bread here and no, I have no buttered it, you can if you want to though. And the onion and ham mix onto the bread.
Then top it with some chopped capsicum and sliced eggs.
Sprinkle a little salt and pepper...
Scrape some cheddar cheese over this. I had cheese slices at home so I chopped that up and added it here above the egg and placed it in the small toaster oven. You could place it in the microwave too for a few minutes until the cheese melts.
The cheese has melted, I used only half a slice for each sandwich... place another slice on top and cut them diagonally.

And that's it , a scrumptious breakfast is ready.... great way to start the day.

Sounds good! I love fried egg sandwiches with ham, but I bet hard-boiled eggs are great too!

What a wonderful breakfast or even lunch in m opinion. You brought me back to my childhood with this one. Haven't had a ham and egg salad since I stayed at my grandmother's house on the weekends and she would always make us one for breakfast~!

Arrthi - I think we get ham in Lynns, remember seeing it there once.
That is one delicious looking sandwich! Nothing better than ham and onions. :)
Do I have to eat it for breakfast? It sounds like a great lunch to me! (But I'd totally eat it for breakfast, too!)

this looks soooo good! where do you get your ham from? I'll have to try this with an omelette (instead of boiled egg) and mustard sauce!

Nice Ad....

Wouldn't you say so... Nam and me were in this huge clothing store and we were making fun of all the models on display (there was one of hrithik in which he looked kinda gayish) when we came across this one. Seriously, dark people are more better looking....

My school teachers...

So I got to thinking bout my school days recently and it saddened me that I was starting to forget a few teachers who had shaped my life, I have already forgotten nearly half the classmates... though its not my fault. Some people just don't want to join facebook, then how can you find them in this big world. Even if I do find them, there is not much to talk beyond the 'where are you & what are you doing' phrases. But the teachers are another matter, they deserve to be remembered for moulding us. I gotta hand it to the convent school I studied in, they really knew how to select their educators... all the teachers I had shared a genuine passion for teaching and above that they had strong moral values and faith which invariably shaped our lives. To them being a good person was what mattered the most and they made sure we grasped this knowledge, it also helped that I had staunch catholic parents who cemented this view. Anyway, I just wanted to jot down stuff bout my teacher...

And nobody was named Fred....

There was a Hugo and a Rosie... but no Fred. Oh well, it's over... that is more than enough. So finally the Harry Potter series has come to an end. And I did read all the books... but somehwere between the third and the fourth book, all the success went to her (Rowling's) head and she started churning out lousy sequels. I mean the first book was really nice, stuck to important stuff... and did not ramble on unnecessarily. I liked the third book the best, cause of Sirius... I thought he was the most amazing character, he was portrayed as this handsome reckless and brave guy, rugged looking but great looking, kinda like Aragon in the movie, "Lord of the rings" or Oded Fehr in "The Mummy Series". So it was only natural that I stopped watching the Harry potter movies, after I saw who they had cast to play the role of Sirius Black, some demented looking guy. Just look at the pictures!!! Anyway, this last book was just too much... there was too much of everyt...
